Terrible Product and Terrible Experience

This has been, BY FAR the worst experience with any product I have ever purchased. We purchased this refrigerator about a year ago. During install the workers scratched my floor and an insurance company finally agreed to pay us 1/3 of the cost to repair. About a week into owning this refrigerator we noticed that the freezer door never really shuts all the way, letting warm air in and causing ice to form (MASSIVE GLACIER-LIKE ICE PIECES) on the bottom of the freezer. The ice pieces then melt and drip out (NOT INTO A DRIP TRAY) onto our wood floors. So not only does the refrigerator freezer not work properly but it also has completely RUINED our floor underneath (see pictures, the damage goes beyond what is shown.) I would encourage any buyer to avoid this product at all costs, maybe even the brand entirely. We bought this refrigerator and we should've bought a high quality product instead. Also, The plastic wrapping used around the product does not come off and leave a terrible cosmetic appearance to the product.When we brought up the issues to customer service they said, "since you're out of warranty you can call someone to get it repaired". No apology of any sort and no responsibility taken for the terrible product. I am beyond furious and will be sure to make it my mission to steer any and all customers away from this product via social media.

The fridge came worked well enough however I needed to call the store to get a repair team up right away as doors were misaligned, the fridge was canted way too much front to back and seals weren™€™t sealing in a few spots. The repair team fixed all of the issues but was surprised that it initially came that way. Also, I have a 10% rebate code that I was given as my old Electrolux fridge failed in a way no one was seen before. I have been trying to get the rebate form filled out but didn™€™t receive the form till after my old fridge was taken. The form requires I take sticker off the old fridge and put it on the rebate form. Problem is fridgidaire gave me the rebate 3 weeks or so before I bought the new fridge but didn™€™t send the form till after the new fridge arrived and the old one was taken. I spent 2+ hours trying to speak to the right person to rectify this as i can only submit the form without the sticker. That said, my old fridge was registered and the rebate form has my model and serial numbers on it. This shouldn™€™t be so hard. If whoever reads this review can help, I would appreciate it.

We have only had it for about a month, so far so good. Upon arrival/delivery there was a bit of a hiccup as our water line was connected by copper tubing and the 3rd party delivery service is not able to install when the water line is copper. So double check that and plan accordingly. Our delivery situation (other than that) was good. Initially the seal for the freezer didn™€™t seem to sealCorrectly at the top but with a few adjustments we were able to fool around with the seal and seems to be working as it should. One of the shelves came cracked but usable. Love the lighting in the fridge, love the two ice makers- makes ice well. It has more space than our previous fridge- so overall happy with this purchase. temperature seems to be consistent with what it says. Per other review, we did have a thermometer in both fridge and feeezer and the temp matches what it is set to for the most part. Produce drawers are big but are a limited in how far you can pull them out, but not a deal breaker. Love the adjustable shelves, love the spaces for jars/condiments so it doesn™€™t have to take up valuable main fridge space. All and all, so far so good.

I really did not need the "dual Ice" storage. The storage at the top is adequate for us since there are only 2 of us. The salesman at Lowes told me the ice storage area in the freezer could be turned off. I would rather have that room in the freezer for frozen foods since we do not normally need that much ice. We have not found a way to turn off the ice dropping into that storage area. Have searched on- line an utube videos but have found nothing on how to do this. I believe the salesman was just telling us that.

My only complaint would be the amount of plastic that the unit ships with, but that is for protection, so definitely better to have than not.

Good but flawed

Fridge has been overall good and we are overall happy with it but there are a couple of issues with it already. The first I don™€™t think can be fixed and that is it™€™s too loud. It runs constantly and there™€™s a hum from the compressor nonstop. The he second issue is that the temp sensor is broken or something because it is overcooling. I have the temp set to 37 and things were freezing. I put a digital temp sensor in it and it was like 24. I turned up the temp on the fridge to 42 and now my secondary temp sensor says it™€™s 35.

Unit is a good value. There are some weird characteristics of this fridge. The door bins are awkward except the large bin. The others are inefficient. Crisper drawers cannot be opened without fully opening both doors. Should be able to open one door and also pull out the crisper drawer behind it.
